The Science Operation and Navigation Center (SONC), located at CNES in Toulouse (France), in charge of overall Rosetta Lander Navigation and science co-ordination including:
Monitoring the Lander experiments through processing and analysis of the telemetry,
Defining the schedulling and implementation of the Lander experiment operations,
Managing of experiment resources,
Elaborating and generating valid and verified experiment command parameters,
Defining descent trajectory parameters for the Lander and separation parameters for the orbiter,
Elaborating and generating some subsystems schedule and functional parameters to ensure landing,
Displaying and analysing landing site images for site selection,
Providing PIs with processed telemetry data,
Providing subsystem suppliers with processed telemetry data, (on request only and in co-ordination with LCC),
Co-ordinating Rosetta Lander navigation (separation/descent/landing) and experiment activities with Rosetta operations centers and PI sites,
Archiving all information (telemetry, telecommand, auxiliary data...) received or sent from SONC,
Maintaining the project knowledge (documentation, data...), using a dedicated tool, throughout the mission duration.

The Lander Control Center (LCC), located at DLR/MUSC in Köln (Germany), in charge of Rosetta Lander operations including:
Supervision of the lander through processing and analysis of the telemetry,
Commanding the Lander,
Managing Rosetta Lander Resources and providing to SONC the resources envelope for the scientific operations,
Operating and maintaining the Lander ground reference model,
Providing subsystem suppliers with processed telemetry data,
Providing PIs with payload raw or processed data (on PI request only and in co-ordination with SONC),
Co-ordinating Rosetta Lander operation activities with Rosetta operation centers and subsystem suppliers,
Archiving all information (telemetry, telecommand, auxiliary data...) received or sent from LCC,
Maintaining Rosetta Lander platform and payload operations know-how.
