The PROTEUS system consists in:

the generic parts that can be directly re-used or re-used via limited adaptations to realize a new mission


the recurrent platform
the generic ground segment PGGS (Proteus Generic Ground Segment) common to Proteus and Myriade series


the ground facilities used for validation tests at satellite or system level


the mechanical and electrical means for the integration and tests of the platform and the satellite
the simulation benches for flight software and satellite operational processes tests ; on these benches the DHU, star tracker, gyros and GPS are real parts of the satellite, the other parts are simulated
the satellite simulation bench for the validation tests of the system with the Command Control Ground Segment


the mathematical models used for the satellites development engineering based on Proteus : mechanical, technical, electrical, SCAO, radiations,... models

Moreover, a specific documentation for the serie was produced to facilitate the use of the Proteus generic parts. Particularly, the Proteus User Manual is the basic tool to realize the adaptation study for every new mission scheduled with Proteus. It indicates the capabilities and performances that can be achieved, the way to use Proteus to reach them and describes the standard interfaces between the platform and the payload, and between board and ground.
