PRISMA ground segment

The Ground Segment includes the following systems:

    Operation Control Centre
    Mission Control Centre (MCC)
    Parallel Data Centre (PDC)

The Ground Segment architecture is illustrated on the Figure below:

PRISMA Ground Segment

The Ground Segments from the international partners (DLR, DTU, CNES) will be connected to the Mission Control Centre in Solna via the RAMSES network. Remote Access to the RAMSES data base will be also possible via Internet for routine operations that do not require constant presence at the Mission Control Centre (MCC).

FFIORD Ground Segment

It is the set of tools that are needed to prepare the experiment plans (including programming, simulation and validation), to monitor and analyse the behaviour of the satellites during the experiment (data processing, data visualization, ...) and to achieve the characterization of FFRF sensor performance.

It includes two main parts:

the FFIORD Mission Center (FMC) that will be connected to SSC ground facilities either from Solna (FMC-S: FFIORD Mission Center in Solna) or from Toulouse (FMC-T: FFIORD Mission Center in Toulouse)
Dedicated tools that will be used in Toulouse for data post processing (raw GPS data, ...)
