ORGANIZATION

Both POLDER instruments have been developed by CNES in partnership with the industrial contractors shown on the diagram bellow.

    instrument manager: SERESO
    onboard software: ALTEN
    converters and housekeeping: EREMS
    optomechanical block: CERCO
    detection unit: SOPELEM / SOFRETEC
    CCD: THOMSON
    bearings: ADR
    motor: SAGEM
    structure: LATECOERE
    multilayer insulation: ZODIAC
    video: SEXTANT

The POLDER ground segment has been developed, under CNES prime contractorship, in conjunction with various industrial contractors:

THALES IS, previously THOMSON SYSECA (POLDER production center and level 1 processing system)
CAP SESA REGIONS (image quality system)
CSSI, previously CISI Ingenierie (level 2 and 3 processing systems)
    SILOGIC (Prime contractorship's assistance)
    and partners:
    CEA/LSCE (scientific processing expertise)
Météo France (supply of meteorological data)

The scientific algorithms have been defined and validated by several science laboratories:

    Laboratoire d'Optique Atmosphérique (LOA)
Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement (LSCE)
    Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique (LMD)
POSTEL at Medias France (for POLDER-2, Land Surfaces)
NOVELTIS (for POLDER-2, Land Surfaces, under CNES contract)
Centre d'Etudes Spatiales de la BIOsphère (CESBIO) (for POLDER-1 only)
Laboratoire de Physique et Chimie Marines (LPCM) (for POLDER-1 only)

With the support of CNES, CEA, CNRS, INSU, University & Regions of Nord Pas de Calais and Midi Pyrénées.
