GROUND SEGMENT
Organized in three entities:
A command control ground segment
A Ground Segment
The Icare research structure

The PARASOL Ground Segment is composed of three entities:

A command control ground segment, the MIGS (MIcrosatellite Ground Segment) which, for the operational phase, will comprise at least four components:

A microsatellite multi-mission Command Control Center (CCC). This component gathers a nominal center and a tests center. DEMETER and PARASOL operations are realised on the same CCC.
Two 2 GHz Reception Stations (TTCET (Telemetry and TeleCommand Earth Terminal)), located one at Aussaguel and the other at Kiruna.
A 8 GHz Reception Station (XTET (X band Telemetry Earth Terminal)) for the scientific payload telemetry reception, located at CNES Toulouse.
A Communication Network (DCN (Data Communication Network)).

A Scientific Mission Center Level 1, CMS-N1, composed of three entities:

    the frontal CMS, which will:
prepare and send the payload telecommand to the control center,
recover the scientific payload telemetry stored in the 8 GHz Station,
the Production Center (CPP), for the processing, the distribution and the archiving of the PARASOL level 1 products
the Image Quality System (SQI) , for the instrument performances follow up, the calibration operations set up and the calibration coefficients calculation

The Icare research structure which, through the creation of a dedicated Data Management and Processing Centre, which will have to:

process the level 2 and 3 data,
distribute and archive PARASOL level 2 and 3 products.
