The differents french institutions and laboratories working on the astronomy component of the ODIN project are:

the LAM,
the CESR,
the DEMIRM laboratory of the Meudon Observatory,
the LESIA (ARPEGES laboratory) of the Meudon Observatory.

The ARPEGES laboratory role is to:

participate with the Chalmers team to the level 0, level 1A and level 1B products definition as well as the process definition which allows to transform the level 0 in level 1A and level 1B.
verify the AOS working during a one year phase including the flight tests phase. To realise this ARPEGES develops softwares allowing to:

process the level 0-SMR/AOS to monitor the instrument working,
realise the data transformation from level 0-SMR/SAO to the levels 1-SMR/SAO to evaluate the instrument performances.

develop or suggest tools allowing the level 1 transformation in level 2.
define the hardware and software configuration allowing the french scientists to use the level 1 products in their own laboratories.

The number of french scientists belonging to the ODIN astronomie group, which will use the data has been estimated to 15.
